National Accreditation Board for Laboratories – Introduction
National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) is an autonomous body under the Department of Science and Technology. NABL gives formal recognition of technical competence to Laboratories in India for testing and calibration services as per ISO 17025:2005 standard thus providing a ready means for customers to find reliable testing and calibration services in order to meet their demands. It is associated with Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Corporation (APLAC), Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). NABL accreditation to a lab enhances customer confidence in accepting the testing results of such accredited laboratories.
LERC is recognized by National Accreditation Board for Laboratories and has been accorded NABL accreditation as per ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the disciplines of Chemical and Mechanical Testing
