Research and Development
LERC was conceptualized by the Three Oil Majors in India with an objective to undertake, promote and assist in Research and Development of LPG and associated technologies relevant to the country’s social, economic and industrial needs and also to ensure safety to customers.
The present activities of Research & Development are:
- Development and evaluation of equipments in all aspects of usage with LPG from Bottling Plants to the consumers including storage, transportation, handling and usage consistent with safety, productivity, efficiency and quality.
- Development of new and indigenous technologies for import substitution in the LPG industry.
- Implement cost saving measure by developing new products for fuel conservation and energy efficiency in LPG applications.
- Improvements in the process control adopted by various manufactures of LPG consumers equipment and effect methods and procedures with the aim to produce fail-safe zero defect equipment for use with LPG.
- Rendering technical assistance in development of facilities for testing and evaluating raw materials used in production of LPG equipment.
