LERC is a member of the following Committees of BIS for evolving the Indian Standards:-

ME 16 Gas Cylinders Sectional Committee

ME 16:1 Gas Cylinders Valves & Fittings Sub Committee

ME 16:2 Low Pressure Gas Cylinders Sub Committee

MED16:3 Dissolved Acetylene Cylinders, Generators, Acetylene Pipe Lines and High Pressure Gas Cylinders

MED 23 is the Domestic and Commercial Gas Burning Appliances (Pressure Type) Sectional Committee within the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Mechanical Engineering Department.

MED 26 is the Oil Burning Appliances Sectional Committee within the Mechanical Engineering Division (MED) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

MED 28 Mechanical Vibration and Shock Sectional Committee within the Mechanical Engineering Division Council (MEDC).

MED 30 is the Mechanical Engineering Division Council (MEDC) Sectional Committee 30 within the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

PCD 3 (Petroleum, Lubricants and their Related Products Sectional Committee) under the BIS Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Division Council manages Indian standards for LPG, focusing on quality, safety, and specifications

PCD 13 Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee within the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

PCD 29 is the Methods of Test for Rubber and Rubber Products Sectional Committee

PGD26  is the Weights and Measures Sectional Committee within the Production and General Engineering Division

MTD 9 refers to the Lead, Zinc, Cadmium, Tin, Antimony and their Alloys Sectional Committee within the Metallurgical Engineering Department of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)

MTD 26 refers to the Industrial Fuel-Fired Furnaces Sectional Committee. This committee is part of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council (MEDC)

LERC is also a member of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and in the Technical Committee for Domestic LPG Stove
